About this Event

Join WABA for a DC climate ride, co-sponsored by the Sierra Club DC Chapter, Saturday morning, October 17, 2026, starting at 10 am. BYOB, Bring Your Own Bike (and helmet) and ride with us to visit key wetland, park, development, and community-garden sites. We’re huge transit fans too, so our ride will start at the Rhode Island Ave. Metro station.

This ride open to all ages 12+ Under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Each rider must be individually registered and you must wear a helmet. E-bikes are great. The total distance will be around 9 miles and will involve only very moderate elevation change.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact Emma Roehrig with the Sierra Club DC at [email protected] or WABA DC organizer Seth Grimes at [email protected].
