About this Event
Experience the beauty of D.C.’s iconic cherry blossoms in this inspiring two-part sketching workshop. Whether you’re an experienced artist or picking up a pencil for the first time, this event invites you to slow down, observe, and create in a peaceful outdoor setting.
🌿 What to Expect:
✨ Part 1 – Choose a tree, mindfully observe its details, and create your first sketch.
🎨 Part 2 – Revisit your tree, enhance your drawing with watercolors, and reflect on its transformation.
No prior art skills are required! All materials—sketch pads, pencils, clipboards, and watercolors—will be provided. Feel free to bring any additional supplies you’d like to use!
🌸 Workshop Goals:
- Practice Mindfulness – Engage deeply with nature, using observation and drawing as a form of meditation.
- Embrace Creativity – Explore your artistic side in a relaxed and supportive setting
- Connect with Nature – Witness the transformation of your chosen tree, deepening your appreciation for the changing seasons.
