Join us this summer for a special series of all-level Cuban dance classes! Whether you're brand new to Cuban dance or have been dancing for years, come learn, connect, and celebrate the richness of Cuban movement, music, and culture with our community.
🌿 Mondays | Afro-Cuban Dance with Naomi Washington Roque
Explore Afro-Cuban movement, technique, musicality, and cultural traditions through an ongoing class series led by Naomi. These classes offer a chance to deepen your understanding of the roots and expressions that have shaped Cuban dance.

📅 June 10 – Transitioning Casino Partnerwork Figures to Rueda de Casino (Linda Piocolo & Evan Kreiensieck)
Learn how to smoothly transition Casino partnerwork figures into Rueda formations while maintaining flow, communication, timing, and awareness of the group dynamic. This class is perfect for dancers looking to bridge the gap between partner dancing and Rueda de Casino.
📅 June 24 – Casino Partnerwork & Drills (Evan Kreiensieck & Leenssa Fufa)
Strengthen your Casino foundation through focused drills designed to improve connection, timing, leading and following skills, movement quality, and confidence on the social dance floor.
📅 July 8 – Rumba-Guaguanco (Patricia "Patty" Rivera)
Explore one of Cuba's most influential dance traditions through an introduction to the history, rhythms, body mechanics, coordination, and execution of Rumba Guaguancó. Participants will deepen their understanding of rumba's cultural significance while expanding their movement vocabulary and musicality.
📅 July 22 – Son Cubano (Adrián Valdivia & Diana Ortiz )
Discover the roots of Cuban social dance through Son Cubano, one of the foundational dances from which modern Casino evolved. This class will focus on rhythm, partner connection, musical interpretation, elegance, and movement quality.
📅 August 5 – Rueda de Casino - TOCADOF/FLOW (Paul Cassens, Leensa Fufa & Lissa Berroa)
Explore concepts of TOCADOF, flow, communication, and musicality to improve the overall quality and experience of dancing in Rueda. Learn how subtle adjustments can create a more connected, enjoyable, and responsive group dance experience.
