Twenty years ago, the heat became unbearable. In desperation, humanity deployed a planetary shroud that blocked the sun’s light and heat. Seasons vanished, the natural world withered, and civilization rebuilt itself around artificial light. Set in the Waikato inside a chain superstore called Daylight Savings, three young workers and their manager grind through another endless shift.
