🌿 Vilar de Mouros — Hiking & River Beach 🌊One of the most beautiful hidden corners of the Minho is waiting for us.
On June 6 we are heading to Vilar de Mouros, a place known for its crystal clear waters, riverside nature, medieval bridge, old watermills and peaceful atmosphere surrounded by the Rio Coura.
This small village is also famous for hosting the legendary Vilar de Mouros Festival, considered the oldest music festival in Portugal and one of the most iconic in the country.
During the day we will explore the famous Azenhas area, walk through beautiful riverside trails and enjoy one of the greenest and most relaxing natural areas in Northern Portugal.
The main trails are circular and relatively accessible, making them perfect for a full nature day without being overly demanding, while still allowing plenty of exploration, walking and adventure along the river and forest areas. 🌿
Lunch will be picnic-style in nature, allowing us to maximize the time exploring the trails, river areas and natural surroundings instead of losing hours inside a restaurant.
And before returning home, we will still make a final stop in Caminha. ✨
This is not a hardcore hiking event.
It is a summer nature escape:
walking, river beach, nature, good vibes and community.
Honestly?
Places like this are the reason why people fall in love with the Minho.
And while many people will probably only see these landscapes later on Instagram…
