The Intercambio Programme and International Office invite you on a magical and festive Day Trip on 10 December to Den Gamle By – Aarhus!
Join us and experience Christmas as it was celebrated through the centuries - including some real Danish hygge. Explore historic buildings, recreated houses and shops from different eras to get a glimpse of Denmark through time.
You’ll find beautiful Christmas decorations, festive music, and twinkling lights - you may even try delicious old-fashioned Christmas treats! The spirit of Christmas fills every corner, and we look forward to experiencing it with you!
Practical details:
Participant fee for this Day Trip is 99,- DKK. This also includes ‘The Julekagebord' which lets us taste different types of traditional Danish treats (no gluten free versions) associated with the season. ‘The Julekagebord’ also includes a glass of the traditional Christmas Gløgg (please note if you prefer a non-alcoholic Gløgg when registering for this event).
In terms of transportation, we travel by train together but at your own expense – the Intercambio Team will board the 8:59 AM train, arriving at Aarhus H at 10:08 AM, and we’ll walk together to Den Gamle By. If you’re traveling by car or other means of transport, we’ll meet at ‘Teaterporten’ at 10:30 AM.
To make the trip happen, we require a minimum of 20 participants, and we have a maximum of 50 participants. We welcome all AAU students. As soon as we reach 20 participants, we will let you know (please DO NOT purchase non-refundable tickets before this time).
Sign-up is obligatory by 28 November at 1 PM through the link in the FB post.
