Join us on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd November at Chucho's to celebrate El Día de los Muertos - the Day of the Dead!What is the Day of the Dead?
On 1st and 2nd November every year families in Mexico celebrate loved ones who have passed. They create an “altar de muertos” with flowers, candles, photos, trinkets and sugar skulls. People also like to get dressed up and paint their faces.
On this day people eat a traditional sweet bread called “pan de muerto” served with rich hot chocolate. It’s a great opportunity for families to get together and have fun, and also a lovely way to introduce children to their ancestors.
What can you see at Chucho's?
In the week leading up to “El Día de los Muertos” and well as the weekend itself e will have an “altar de muertos” in the restaurant.
From 4pm on 1st & 2nd November we will have face painting, pan de muerto and Mexican crafts for sale, and you can even bring a photo for our altar if you like ❤️
