Dear Members and Friends of Golden Lotus,Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
Golden Lotus Lodge will be presenting Memento Mori - A Day of the Dead Journey with Hekate and Day of the Dead celebration on Saturday, November 2, at 7 p.m. Our doors will open to guests at 6 p.m.
Hekate embodies the archetypal image of the wise woman, whose wisdom is born from a deep connection to life, death, and rebirth cycles. In time, she became associated with the realm of magic and witchcraft, revered as a powerful mediator between the living world and the world of spirits.
She is the Titan goddess of the dark time, both the dark of the moon and the dark of the year. We will take a meditative journey to visit our ancestors with Hekate’s guidance.
This ritual will be put together by Sister Lucy.
If you plan on attending, please bring a dish of food with you (especially tamales!).
