Bring the family out in the late afternoon, where they'll decorate sugar skulls and place them on the ofrenda.

SPANISH HERITAGE PERFORMANCE WITH TRADITIONAL ACONCHERO (AZTEC) & FOLKLORICO DANCERS
The Aztec people performed dances for religious and secular occasions, and some of their dances have roots in the art form of Mexican folklórico. Folklórico is a collection of regional and ethnic dance traditions that are influenced by Indigenous, African, and European cultures.

SUNDOWN RITUAL & DIA DE LOS MUERTOS PROCESSION
Just as the sun goes down and dusk approaches, partake in a traditional muertos parade around Central Park to where the ofrenda is located.

OFRENDA LIGHTING CEREMONY A ritual where the Aztec and traditional dancers light the candles at dusk (6:35) and explain the signifigance behind the ofrenda and ritual of Day of the Dead, and invites attendees to place their photos of lost loved ones at the altar.
