On Friday, April 24, hundreds of volunteers across our five-county region will step away from their desks, routines, and responsibilities to serve.
Susquehanna Valley United Way’s annual Day of Action brings together individuals, families, businesses, civic groups, and nonprofits for one powerful day of hands-on impact.
From painting and landscaping to organizing, building, cleaning, and supporting community programs, volunteers will complete meaningful projects that create visible, immediate change for local nonprofit organizations.
This is more than a volunteer day.
It’s a day when our region shows what’s possible when we work together.
đź› For Volunteers
You can register as:
- An individual
- A family (children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)
- A workplace or corporate team
- A civic, school, or faith-based group
After registration closes on March 6, volunteers will be matched with project sites based on interests and availability.
Each volunteer will receive:
- A commemorative Day of Action t-shirt
- Snacks and water
- A project assignment that makes a real difference
🏢 For Nonprofits
Local nonprofits are invited to submit project sites that could benefit from a team of volunteers. Projects should be meaningful, well-scoped for a single day, and ready to go.
Project site registration is also open through March 6.
