Day at the Bay

Join us for scientific adventure and play at Emeryville Marina Park to learn about the sharks, rays and ecosystems of San Francisco Bay!

We'll have healthy snacks and interactive, sensory friendly activity stations for all ages including:

• Both loud and quiet areas of play and exploration
• Inclusive and multi-sensory learning stations about sharks and rays of the San Francisco Bay, co-facilitated by Ocean Science Expedition Academy and Coastal Learning Collaborative! Learn about different species' habitat, behaviours, anatomy and life cycle, and learn about and participate in catch and release, shoreline sampling of different species.
• Intertidal Bay ecology observation with the Wild Oyster Project, and nature observation art station with The Water Movement
• Book nook and reading circle at 11am and 1pm
• Nature play kits` for open-ended play and construction
• Sand and water tables for free play
• Nature scavenger hunt around the park for youth and families
