Come join me to scout out a new trail loop closer to home.
I've plotted this route on OnX to start and end in Livingston and run through the Davy Crockett National Forest and mostly follows the Texas Traverse (Leg 1). GPS says the route will take around 5.5 hours depending on stops and route changes starting at the Walmart in Livingston with a stop in Groveton at the County Seat Cafe for lunch. My daughter and I ran about half of this route during the Thanksgiving break (I'll post pictures in another post) and it was a nice drive. I'll be at Walmart around 9 am and leaving around 10 am. If you have nothing to do and want to escape the Holiday madness, come help me hone out this route and enjoy a peaceful (hopefully not too dusty) Jeep day in our National Forest. Don't forget to bring your radio as we will need to coordinate route changes, bathroom breaks and photo ops. Event is open to all who want to join even if you're not a Jeep, roads are very tame and 4x4 is not needed. Come help us start a new Christmas Loop tradition. Hope to see y'all there!
