Davidson Lands Tree Store

Davidson Lands Conservancy is hosting a Tree Store this fall. Residents can request one free native tree per household while supplies last.

Davidson Lands is hosting a fall season TREE STORE! A tree store is an opportunity for residents to adopt a 7-gal native tree to plant around their home in Davidson. The 100 native trees are available first come, first serve. We will offer a variety of tree types including White Oaks, Red Maples, American Hollys, Arborvitae, Eastern Redbuds, Serviceberry, and Southern Magnolias.

If you would like to participate, click on the link at the bottom. Please research tree size (at maturity) and optimal planting location HERE before you make your tree choice. One tree per household.

IMPORTANT: At this time, trees are only available to Davidson residents and all participants need to show proof of residency. Trees are limited to one per household.

All participants will need to sign a Tree Care Pledge at pick-up which is listed on the sign-up.

All participants need to be able to pick-up the tree on Thursday, November 5th between the hours of 4-6:30 PM and stay for a short training on planting. If you have a conflict with this date, but would like to adopt a tree, please contact [email protected] and other arrangements can be made.

Each participant also receives a free bag of mulch.

A portion of the funding for this program is thanks to a generous grant from the Town of Davidson.

Please remember the following:

• At this time, trees are only available to Davidson residents and all participants will need to show proof of residency at pick-up.
• Trees are limited to one per household.
• All participants will need to sign a Care Pledge at pick-up.
• All participants need to be able to pick-up the tree on Thursday, November 5th at the Pump House on South Street and stay for a short training on planting. We can provide an alternative date for pick-up if needed. Please email [email protected] to arrange.
• Each participant also receives a free bag of mulch.

Care Pledge:

The trees I plant are being provided by Davidson Lands Conservancy to benefit the community. I understand that the trees are provided “as is”, and Davidson Lands Conservancy is not responsible for the planting, condition, or care of the trees. All trees must be planted within the Town of Davidson town limits. My signature below affirms my pledge to make best efforts to plant trees correctly and in the proper locations, and to care for my trees, including protecting, mulching, and watering them. I grant Davidson Lands Conservancy and its partners rights to take and use photos and video of myself and my party, including minors, without compensation.
