youtube ;Davide Laugelli is an Italian bassist and session man. In the past he has played with Disease Illusion, Heller Schein, XXII Arcana, The Burning Dogma, Electrocution, Darisam and 373°K, with the Greek death mettallers Legion Massacre and with the Korean gothic metal band Adoom. In the project that takes his name, however, he carries forward a combination of progressive rock and instrumental metal for two basses (fretted and fretless), synth and drums. The first album Soundtrack of a nightmare was released in 2017 and is a concept which, as the title itself says, tries to set the various dream phases of the nightmare to music, starting as a studio project only, but after the excellent feedback from the public and magazines, two years later he decided to organize live shows in Italy, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Croatia and Serbia. During the spring of 2020 he was forced to cancel the tour in Ireland and the United Kingdom due to the Covid-19 pandemic and resumed playing live the following year with very few selected dates at festivals in Italy. In 2023 the next album Out of the nightmare was released, conceptually another concept that is a sequel to the previous one. Here too the album received such positive reviews that it entered the Top 5 of Spotify listening in Luxembourg for five days, ahead of international pop stars, reaching second place with the song Blind Eyes of the Burning Dogma. The album was followed by a tour that touched Hungary, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Serbia. For 2024, however, another tour is planned in February which will take him to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Romania, plus some appearances in Italy between May and September where he will bring his show in a special context in theaters.
