Raised around Bill Monroe through his father, Bluegrass Boy Lamar Grier, David developed a distinctive style influenced by Clarence White, Tony Rice, and Doc Watson. A three-time IBMA Guitar Player of the Year, Grammy-winning collaborator, and Acoustic Guitar Magazine "Artist of the Decade," Grier has performed with legends including Doug Dillard, Tim O’Brien, Victor Wooten, and Alison Brown. His latest music continues to showcase the virtuosic flatpicking that has made him one of the most respected and influential acoustic guitarists of his generation.
