David DeGroot - Bring your own tree workshop
About this Event
David DeGroot, the author of Principles of Bonsai Design, will be hosting an all day workshop for members to bring trees and work on with David's guidance.
David became fasinated with bonsai in 1969 when he saw a bonsai disply at the Mitchell Park Conservatory (The Domes) in Milwaukee. Although he went on to study music he remained enarmoured with these little trees and is now a world class bonsai artist.
David is very excited be coming back to Milwaukee and is looking forward to working with 8 members on their trees and October is a great time for winter cutback.
Lunch will be provided for this workshop.
Participants must be an MBS member in good standing.
Students must bring their own tools and wire, this is a hands on workshop.
