Please join us at National City Christian Church on Friday, September 12, at 12:15 p.m., for our free weekly Music at Midday concert. We are delighted to be welcoming organist David Brock, who will perform an exciting program of works beginning with Bach and concluding with Ives:
• Prelude in E minor "Little" - Nicolaus Bruhns
• Sonata No. 1 in F minor - Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy
• Concerto for Organ, Str., and BC in F Major - G. F. Handel, transc. by David Brock
• Prelude and Elegy - Richard Roeckelein
• What a Friend We Have in Jesus - William Bolcom

David Brock maintains an active organ recital schedule throughout the United States. Recent appearances have included Washington National Cathedral, St. Mary’s Cathedral, San Francisco, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Reno, and First Lutheran Church, Venice, California. Annually since 1999, each August David has produced a series of organ recitals in Northern Nevada – Hot August Pipes. David currently serves as organist/accompanist at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Reno, Nevada, which position he has held since 2019. He has recently teamed up with Alex Eisenberg, violin and conductor, to form a new organization, Higher Elevation Music, which places an emphasis on unheard gems from all periods, along with occasional core works, and world premiere compositions.
