๐๐๐ฏ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ค๐ฆ๐๐ง has been an essential part of the New York jazz scene for over 30 years, as a creative and swinging voice on the piano and as a gifted composer, arranger and bandleader. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, he currently divides his time between teaching in N.Y. and performing with world renowned jazz artists at home and abroad. Berkman has performed with numerous jazz luminaries including: Sonny Stitt, Tom Harrell, Brian Blade, the Vanguard Orchestra, Cecil McBee, Dave Douglas and Chris Potter. His 10 recordings as a leader have appeared on numerous โCriticโs Bestโ lists. Berkman is a tenured professor at the Aaron Copland School of Music, C.U.N.Y. in New York and has published three books on jazz with Sher Music Publishing which are used in jazz schools.
๐๐ข๐๐ก๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ค๐๐ซ is a Romanian bassist and double bassist based in Vienna, appreciated for his musical versatility and energy. With solid roots in traditional jazz and a constant openness to new sound horizons, Acker manages to naturally combine various influences such as funk, afrobeat, Brazilian music, gnawa and electronics. He studied at the National University of Music in Bucharest, where he quickly established himself in the local jazz scene. After settling in Vienna, he became an active presence in the city's musical landscape, collaborating with numerous international artists and developing innovative personal projects.
๐๐๐๐ข ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ข is part of the new generation of Romanian jazz artists, a drummer attracted to the world of musical improvisation.
With a complex musical vocabulary, he successfully manages to connect with the sound of the various projects he works on.
Gabi graduated the prestigious Prince Claus Conservatorium in Groningen.
