Author and sports editor Dave Zirin is in conversation with local journalist and author David Sirota on Thursday, September 24th at 5:30 PM at our Aspen Grove location for Dave's new book: The People's Historian: The Outsized Life of Howard Zinn!

If you are unable to attend the event after purchasing a ticket, you are required to pick up your copy of the book (with proof of purchase from your event registration) within 7 days after the event date. If the book is not picked up by that date, you relinquish your copy to Tattered Cover Book Store.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dave Zirin is the sports editor for The Nation, a columnist for The Progressive, and the author of eight books on the politics of sports, including What's My Name, Fool? Sports and Resistance in the United States, and A People's History of Sports in the United States. He was named among the Utne Reader's "50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World" and was a finalist for the 2016 PEN/ESPN Award for Literary Sports Writing.
ABOUT THE CONVERSATION PARTNER
David Sirota is a journalist and bestselling author based in Colorado. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Lever, a reader-supported investigative news outlet. Sirota served as a senior adviser and speechwriter for Bernie Sanders's 2020 presidential campaign. His collaboration with director Adam McKay on Netflix's Don't Look Up earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay and a 2022 Writers Guild Award. Sirota has written three previous books: Hostile Takeover, The Uprising, and Back to Our Future. He lives in Denver with his wife, Emily, and their two children.
