DAVE BOLES is the Publisher of Cold River Press and VOICES, a yearly international anthology of poetry, prose, fiction, art, and photography. He is the author of nineteen books, including his Coyote Series, and A Journey Through Divine Mysteries, a 272 page work on hermeneutical studies into ancient religion and philosophies.
When not writing or creating art he can be found splitting wood at his Lake House in Grass Valley, where he lives with his wife, Mrs. America, awaiting the yearly return of egrets to nest in the giant grey pines on their property.
STAN ZUMBIEL taught English in middle and high school for thirty-five years yet doesn’t have the slightest idea how he got to be old. He served on the board of the Sacramento Poetry Center for 25 years. In January 2008 he received his MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Random Lane Press published his first book, Standing Watch in 2016, and published a revised version in 2026. Hat Full of Leaves was published by Cold River Press in January 2022. His poems have appeared in Nimrod, Primal Urge, Convergence, Sacramento Voices, Medusa’s Kitchen, and others. He lives in sight of the American River in a home he shares with his wife Lynn where he continues to shape words and images into poems.
