A free workshop for people new to exercise that want to learn the fundamentals of moving their body and lifting weights in a safe and sustainable way. The plan currently includes (approximately 90min long): Presentation on: Movement Metabolic pathways Bracing the spine Pain Rules Then, A coach led movement lab (all ability levels) reviewing the Deadlift, Squat and Overhead Press with a barbell. Progressions for getting your first pull-up. Core strength and bracing a neutral spine. Then, Nutrition presentation Whole Foods Macro/Micro nutrients Portion size What to avoid Then, We wrap it up with a summary/action plan of what to do next!
