About this Event

Bring your favorite cooking companion and escape to the coast for an evening of fresh flavors and hands-on cooking. In this interactive class, you'll prepare a menu inspired by classic seaside cuisine while learning professional techniques you can recreate at home.

• State Fair-Inspired Funnel Cakes

You'll learn how to prepare crisp crab cakes, make a homemade champagne vinaigrette, roast potatoes to perfection, and create light, golden funnel cakes from scratch. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable evening together, you'll leave with new culinary skills, recipes, and a delicious meal to enjoy.

Know Before You Go
What to Wear

For your safety, please wear long pants and flat, closed-toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back. You will be standing and cooking for most of the class, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Sandals, flip-flops, and high heels are not permitted in Columbus State kitchens.

Our kitchens regularly use nuts, shellfish, gluten, dairy, and other common allergens. If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact [email protected] at least 48 hours before class. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, modifications cannot be made during class.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class are eligible for a refund or class credit.
• If The Mix cancels a class, guests will be offered the option to transfer to another class or receive a full refund.

• Class reservations are first come, first served, and early registration is encouraged.
• No refunds will be issued after the class has taken place.
• The Mix reserves the right to substitute instructors or modify class content when necessary.
