Hosted by The New Normal Charity at Bobby’s Rabble and MC’d by comedian Mohammed Magdi with tunes by DJ Misty Penguin.

Each presenter will have two minutes to state their case. There are prizes for the best pitch and time to mingle to bag the real prize, a date!

🎟️ Pitcher tickets (limited): pitch a friend HKD100, make sure your mate grabs a singles ticket

You’ll have two minutes and a self-created deck to persuade your audience that your single mate is the best catch! You’re also in line for a prize for best pitch, voted for by your audience.

Timings:
- Doors open 7:00pm
- Presentations start 7:30pm sharp
- Presentations end: 8:30pm
- Event closes 9:30pm

We encourage you to arrive early, settle in and grab a drink so we don’t disturb the presenters.

All gender identities and preferences are welcome.

Aged 18 or above are welcomed.

Presentations may be in English or Cantonese.

Presenters must email their presentation to [email protected] by the 17th of April.

Mohammed Magdi

Mohammed Magdi is a Hong Kong–based stand-up comedian who started performing in 2013 and has since MC’d, featured, and headlined shows across Asia, Australia, and beyond. His sharp, fast-paced style and crowd work make him the perfect host to keep Date My Mate moving!

DJ Misty Penguin

DJ Misty Penguin is a Hong Kong DJ known for high-energy, rhythm-first sets that move between techno and house, laced with riffs, vocal loops, and tropical-leaning grooves. She’s previously played Clockenflap, and she’ll bring a playful, feel-good dancefloor vibe that keeps the room buzzing before, between, and after the pitches!

Mohammed Magdi 係一位香港棟篤笑藝人，自2013年開始演出，曾經喺亞洲、澳洲等地參與及主持多場表演，亦曾擔任主打演出。佢節奏明快、反應敏捷，擅長同觀眾互動，絕對可以帶動全場氣氛，令 Date My Mate 友得約 全程保持熱度！

DJ Misty Penguin
DJ Misty Penguin 係一位香港DJ，以高能量、以節奏為主導嘅演出見稱，風格遊走於科技舞曲 (techno) 同 浩室音樂 (house)之間，並加入旋律段落、人聲循環同帶有熱帶感嘅節奏。佢曾經於Clockenflap演出，今次會為大家打造輕鬆又有氣氛嘅舞池，喺介紹開始前、過場同之後都令全場保持熱度。
