This is an alternative to the modern version of torture - dating apps.

It’s time to take some positive action in a healthy, non-threatening way that promises to be fun

Date My Mate is a novel, new concept sweeping single's scene.
How does it work?
Choose your presenter.
Choose someone who knows your personality. Tap into the power of friendship.
Will they speak well of you? This person will act as your wingman. You can work
together on a PowerPoint presentation.
3 minutes is a good length. You will be surprised how difficult it might be to fill
those 3 minutes but we have some suggestions for you. Keep reading!
2. Create a special email account
If you want to guard your privacy. Gmail is free. This is optional. Use your
regular account if you are comfortable.
3. Think about printing some contact cards.
It’s a good way to ensure people can reach you after the event but also optional.
4. Collect photos and/or videos.
PowerPoint presentations are enhanced with good visuals.
5. Rehearse.
This is going to be a fun event with a very supportive audience.
Now…some guidelines for that presentation.
Keep it clean, you can be flirty and risqué but please be g rated. We don’t want to offend.
Why is this person special? Green flags? Maybe mention a red flag that is funny.
You can talk about professional accolades but more personal, shared knowledge will give
people better insight.
How do they treat their family? Is he a momma’s boy? Does she have kids?
What are they passionate about? Share a funny story (with permission) that you know.
What attributes do they have to offer? For example…Wicked coffee hound? Non-drinker?
Can’t bother them during hockey playoffs?
Include pictures, images are critical to promote your mate.
Share your personal sentiments so others can see this person they way you do.
You will have access to a microphone and your presentation will be on screens. No need for
nerves. No judgements, just genuine fun!
There will be colour coded name tags to identify the pitchers versus those being pitched.
However flirting is encouraged. Romance is optional, let’s keep the vibes positive!
At 8 pm, people can move to the front of the house - $5.00 cover charge gives you a chance to
see an excellent jazz band.
