Interested in using your data analysis skills to solve real-world problems? Want to learn more about cutting-edge machine learning models and tools which are used to help solve these problems? Looking for a fun opportunity to participate in a project? Look no further!DataSoc is partnering with IBM to bring you our machine learning project cycle! IBM is a world-leader in computing technology, including AI, cloud computing, automation and analytics. This project will run from the beginning of TERM 2 (week of 27th May, 2024).
In this 8 week project, students will be working in teams of 4-5 to analyse datasets and solve real problems. They will be working alongside IBM to deliver solutions using a comprehensive suite of tools. This is an opportunity to learn many new skills and tools within the machine learning space, including:
- Data processing
- Predictive modelling
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- IBM's Watsonx
- RAG optimisation
- Enterprise search
and many more!
We are looking for students with a passion for learning and trying new approaches. Whether you're a seasoned veteran in machine learning, or a beginner who is keen to expand their knowledge, we encourage you to apply! You can apply as a team or individual. Individuals will be placed into a team if successful. Applications are marked on a rolling basis, so apply now! There is a maximum capacity of 5-6 teams.
