About this Event

Data with Impact: Longitudinal Educational Outcomes

Jointly hosted by Administrative Data Research (ADR) Scotland and University of Glasgow's School of Education and Centre for Public Policy, this IN-PERSON event brings together researchers, government and wider experts to showcase the Scottish Longitudinal Education Outcomes (LEO) dataset. The event will explore the opportunities that this linked administrative data presents for research and enriching the evidence base for policy making in Scotland.

Attendees will hear from Euan Shields, Scottish Government Education Analytical Services, about the dataset itself which links data from DWP, HMRC and Scottish university student data, and about future plans for enhancement such as the addition of schools data. There will be presentations on ongoing and planned research uses, including from Professor Iain Atherton, Napier University.

Attendees will have the opportunity to build networks, share ideas and explore how collaborative research can maximise the impact of Scotland's education and employment data assets.
