About this Event
Data Science - Standalone or Intergated?
- Looking for semester- or year-long standalone Data Science (DS) courses?
- Want a Data Science unit for your CS, CTE, or AQR class?
- Looking to cherry-pick some lightweight DS to support existing goals in math, science, or history?
This four-day professional learning series is designed to support all three contexts, using an evidence-based approach that builds lightweight Data Science in a way that reinforces what students already need to know, rather than undermining it.
This hands-on workshop series empowers teachers of grades 7–12 to enhance their instruction using module-based lessons that leverage the power of computer science and modern data tools. Whether you teach science, social studies, ELA, the arts, or math, you'll walk away with practical strategies to enrich student learning through data-driven inquiry and interdisciplinary connections.
Participants will be provided a number of resources, including standards alignment, a complete student workbook, an answer key for the programming exercises and a forum where they can ask questions and share ideas.
This material is ready-to-use, and aligned to the TEKS standards.
100% FREE PD, Classroom Materials, Software, and Support - and a $220 Stipend for Attending!
Thanks to the support of WeTeach_CS, this professional learning opportunity is provided at no cost, and includes student and teacher materials, unlimited lifetime access to the curricular materials, and support from Bootstrap master teachers.
A $50 deposit is required to save your seat.
