Data protection in focus – Regulatory insight

As one of your organisation’s most valuable assets, data now commands heightened attention and oversight at Board level. This session will outline current regulatory expectations for data protection and emphasise the critical role of strong governance and clear organisational accountability.

Effective policies, well‑defined expectations, and visible leadership from the Board are essential to fostering a culture of robust data protection. While staff manage data as part of their daily responsibilities, ultimate accountability rests with the Board. Through appropriate training, clear guidance, and consistent oversight, Boards can help ensure that data protection becomes a shared and embedded responsibility across the organisation.
