DATA CENTER CONDITIONAL USE HEARING BEGINS FOR SMITHFIELD GATEWAY

This is the start of the conditional use hearing before the Smithfield Board of Supervisors, and where the Board will consider applications for party status for Smithfield Gateway Data Center. Plan for this meeting to conclude at 9:30PM; we need to be out of the building by 10PM.
If you have not yet submitted a party status form but want to be considered for party status, please plan to attend the meeting on the 28th, and either email me the form ahead of time or bring a form with you to the meeting. If you choose to email it, please ensure it is sent to me by October 27th to ensure it’s received. The application for party status is available on the conditional use page, here:

The Township will have blank party status forms available at the hearing, as is customary.
One caveat from Julia: scheduling these meetings prevents the Township from being placed in a position of a deemed approval. A deemed approval is where the Township does not start the hearing before the project’s deadline, so the applicant’s project gets approved as submitted. The applicant may yet provide an extension to the Township, and you may receive an email from me cancelling or postponing these meetings.
