There are no better words to describe the phenomenon called Mirza Ghalib....a name that evokes myriad emotions for us all!

Leaders in our parliament historians in their lectures and commoners like us – none of us can resist from reciting Ghalib every now and then knowingly or unknowingly too! 

Though he was not born in Delhi but once he made Shahjahanabad his ‘own’ it was as the poets say “Subhanallah”!!! And with the universal timeless quality of his ghazals and couplets our very own 'Chacha Ghalib' still breathes in the lanes & bylanes of Purani Dilli!

तो आइए कदरदान ग़ालिब की याद में join the DBF 'Shayars' and Storytellers and fans of the great poet on a one-of-its-kind walk in the lanes and bylanes of Purani Dilli....where we paint a picture of the times and life of the great poet...

Hear us recite some of his finest poetry & writings as you will walk around exploring Ghalib's Puraani Dilli....visit the Haveli (Mansion) where he lived in his twilight years; listen to quirky little anecdotes that took place with him in the alleys of Shahjahanabad the gradual decay that he saw in his city and finally his acute sadness as he saw the city crumble after the Mutiny of 1857.

CHARGES: Rs 850/- * per head (Includes contribution for tea & traditional Shahjahanabadi Breakfast)

*Children below 15 years are not allowed
