Training for completing the DOMESTIC ABUSE STALKING, HARESSMENT AND HONOUR BASED ABUSE risk indicator model.
About this Event

This course is specifically for learning how to effectively assess risk of domestic abuse, stalking, harassment and so-called Honor-Based Abuse using the DASH risk indicator model.

This specialist course is only for professionals who are required to undertake DASH risk assessments as part of their role.

Please read the booking conditions carefully so that you are aware of the expectations and pre-course learning activities prior to booking a ticket.

Covered within this course is how to identify, assess and respond to risk using the DASH risk indicator model. Building from lessons learnt within previous training this course includes;

  • Further developing an understanding on the experience of Coercive Control (CCB), identifying CCB and understanding CCB within the context of risk.
  • Further developing an understanding of The Serious Crime Act, Section 76
  • The typologies of Domestic Abuse and the dynamics of Domestic Abuse
  • Stalking, harassment and So Called Honour based abuse.
  • Understanding what high risk Domestic Abuse indicators are and how to assess risk clusters. (How certain risk factors interact with one another)
  • Completing the DASH risk indicator assessment - how to articulate and evidence risk associated with Domestic Abuse.
  • The importance of appropriate information sharing and understanding the experience of risk as a pattern, not isolated incidents.

At the foundation of all our DASV training is an understanding and awareness of controlling and coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship.

Laptop sharing between attendees within the same workplace is not permitted. Each person attending the training must be signed up individually and using their own device. We offer bespoke group training, please contact us if you feel this would best suit your organisation.

Cancellations can be made through your Eventbrite account, or via 'Manage my booking' on the original booking confirmation.
