Darwin DiverCity Series Exhibition Opening Night: 100 Portraits and Stories

The DiverCity Series Exhibition is a community-driven photography and storytelling project created and independently produced by Georgia Politis since 2020. Celebrating the people, cultures and lived experiences that make the Northern Territory unique, the exhibition showcases the diversity, resilience and spirit of Territorians through powerful portraits and personal stories.
Every aspect of the project has been completed by Georgia Politis, from photographing every portrait and writing each participant's story to coordinating participants, editing, book production and exhibition planning. Participation has always been completely free, with every participant receiving their portrait session, digital photographs, a copy of their story and their exhibition print as a gift following the exhibition. Participants were selected through community recommendations or via public applications during open application periods.
Featuring 100 portraits and stories across Series One and Series Two, the exhibition offers an inspiring celebration of Darwin's multicultural community and the individuals who contribute to its rich identity.
