NTAHC Darwin's International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2025Date: Sunday, May 18, 2025
Time: 6PM
Location: Dudley Point, East Point (Grass area overlooking the ocean)
Join us for the 2025 International AIDS Candlelight Memorial in Darwin, held on the third Sunday of May each year. As the sun sets over the ocean, we will come together to pay respects to those we have lost to HIV/AIDS, honor our long-term survivors, and show support for all people living with HIV.
This is a time to reflect, to remember, and to stand in solidarity with our community. The event will include moving speeches, the lighting of candles (battery), and the opportunity to connect with others in a supportive environment. Refreshments will be provided, and there will be some seating available, though you're welcome to bring your own picnic chair.
Everyone is welcome – members, staff, board, and the broader community – as we unite in remembrance and hope. Let’s gather to show love, strength, and resilience.
This year’s theme is Northern Territory Remembers: Taking Action, Living Beyond HIV, a message that reflects our shared commitment to ending the stigma and supporting those impacted by HIV/AIDS.
We look forward to sharing this meaningful evening with you.
