The Darkness into Light walk is an annual event that brings together communities in solidarity to raise awareness around self harm and suicide prevention. The walk symbolises hope for those affected by suicide and has become a global symbol of unity and connection.2024 saw Luton host its very first Darkness into Light walk. With a large Irish contingency, many of whom travelled to London each year to participate in and support the event, it seemed long overdue that we brought it to our town.
Our route is through local parks and is easily accessible, with a predominantly flat, paved walk with some sections of the walk on grass.
We are hopeful the event continues to grow and become more successful year on year. Please contact us if you want to join the committee, our volunteering team or support in any way, and we look forward to seeing you on 10th May 2025
