Dark Circles at Crown House : April Edition Thursday 2 April will be the premier performance of new music from Tamar Osborn, the saxophonist, multi reed instrumentalist and composer.
A wonderful talent, a good friend and very much part of the Dark Circles family. You can find Tamar has her own section in the racks of our record shop, such is the quality and consistency of her work. We couldn’t be more excited for this one!
Sonically the project picks up from where Tamar left off with Collocutor’s ‘Continuation’, but with a heavy influence from the purely improvisatory worlds she’s been inhabiting more recently (Unknown to Known, TrypTychTryo, Flock, London Odense Ensemble) and the late 60s/early 70s electronic explorations of the likes of Miles Davis and Joe Henderson. These are combined in a ongoing sonic search for what connects us in a shared human experience, beyond language and culture.
This marks the start of a very exciting year for Tamar, with new releases and shows planned for later in 2026. This performance will feature a full band, and WHAT A BAND!!
