"Dare to Declare" events are occurring throughout Chester County and, under different names, across the country as part of America 250 celebrations. Dare to Declare events are public readings of the Declaration of Independence, commemorating the public readings that occurred throughout the colonies in 1776. HSPA will be holding our Dare to Declare event on June 13, in conjunction with our annual Strawberry Festival. The public reading of the Declaration of Independence will occur at 12:30 on the front steps of the Society, facing Main Street. In the event of inclement weather, the reading will occur in the HSPA Museum. Please join us for this meaningful (and free!) event, and feel free to tour the Museum and check out the Strawberry Festival while you are there!
