With a career spanning more than three decades, 17 studio albums, and a Top 10 hit (“Loving Arms”), Darden Smith has built a reputation as one of the most respected American musicians working today. Known for his depth, intelligence, and compassion, Smith’s work goes far beyond the stage. As co-founder of Songwriting With: Soldiers and collaborator on Frontline Songs, he has long used music as a tool for healing and transformation, helping people tell their stories and reclaim their voices.

Since 1983, ALIVE has provided emergency sanctuary, counseling, and critical services to adults and children impacted by domestic abuse. From a 24-hour crisis line and emergency transportation to court advocacy, children’s therapy, and community education, ALIVE works every day to restore safety and peace — one family at a time.
