Come all ye good subjects and friends of Caid, to the familiar forests of dear Darach indeed! Come join our good day of fun, frolic, and games; so we may celebrate our year of good fortune and aims!
SCHEDULE:
7am - Site Setup begins
8am - Gate Opens
9am - Contest Lysts & Practice Fields open
10am - Opening Court
12pm - Lunch: Main Field Closed to Combat For 1 Hour.
3pm - Art Contest Lyst closes.
4pm - Closing Court
5pm - Official Site Breakdown & Equipment Inventory
6pm - Dinner offsite: RSVP to Gate before 4pm
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Event Registration from Adults $15. - ^ Discounted to $5 with their Current SCA membership.
Youth (under 18 y/o) with an accompanying adult, may register at no cost to themselves.
ACTIVITY INFORMATION:
Armored and Rapier Combat
Tournaments: Contestants will determine the current Champions & Protectors of Darach Shire. Protectors, being residents of the territory, are hoped to lead the Tournament next year.
Practices, Challenges, & Pickups: The Armored & Rapier-specified Fields will be available before and between Tournament Rounds.
Arts Gallery: We will be accepting Entries of Fine, Culinary, & Performing Arts to display and conduct “People’s Choice” Awards until 3pm.
White Elephant Fundraiser: We are still accepting donations of related items to sell in support of our Shire. If you have items to donate, please bring them to Alia at the tent with the white Elephant Banner when you arrive on site. Then, please take a moment to peruse and make offers on your selection of the donated items.
Potluck Lunch: To join, submit dishes of 10+ servings with an ingredient list to the Potluck Table between Arts & Hospitality. RSVPs to the Event Steward or Seneschal are Appreciated.
SITE RESTRICTIONS:
Stakes may penetrate the ground a maximum of 8"
This is a “Dry site”: open consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated.
Pets in attendance must be attached to a leash.
DIRECTIONS:
From the South/East: From US-101-N follow Exit 54 to Carmen Dr. and turn Right(North) from Carmen Dr, turn Left(West) onto Ponderosa, then turn Right (North) onto Lantana.
From the North/West: From US-101-S follow Exit 55 to Las Posas Rd. and turn Left (North) from Las Posas Rd, turn Right(East) onto Ponderosa, then turn Left (North) onto Lantana. Finally, turn Left(West) onto Coe. The Site will be on your Left; at the coned-off Loading & Unloading Zone.
