DAPC + BFSC Lez Dance: A Night of Dance, Drag & Pride
We’re back at it again, and this time we’re partnering with some amazing people! Behold… LEZ DANCE: A NIGHT OF DANCE, DRAG & PRIDE brought to you by Butch Femme Social Club (BFSC) and Denton Art & Performance Collab (DAPC) at the Bearded Monk.
Lez Fest went so well last time, and we’ve decided to amp things up a little bit, especially since it’s going to be Pride Month!
Here’s what you can expect! (And maybe much more!)
Queer Market: DAPC has curated some of the most phenomenal & queer market vendors! Everything is handcrafted locally. And absolutely no AI art allowed! Some things you’ll find at Lez Dance include:
Original artwork and prints
Organic soaps and candles
One of a kind resin and wire wrapped jewelry
Interesting mixed media fiber art sculptures
Tye-dyed clothing
Fun trinkets and accessories!
DAPC’s 4th Annual Amateur Drag Competition: Have what it takes to walk the runway? Tonight might be your night! BFSC’s pro drag performers will be watching you work, diva. The judging categories will include stage presence, overall look, and creativity. Sign up is in person, so get here early! Spots are super limited. And of course, there will be prizes!
Pro Drag Performance: Get ready, y’all and bring those dollar bills! They’re back and they brought friends! We got Briar Rose, Cherise Maraschino, Swamp Pussy, Moan Jett, Cherry Blitz, and Faux Q!
Dance Party: You tryna grind up on someone tonight? Let us be your stage. From 6-10pm we’ll be having an outside DJ with DJ DiDi and then from 10pm-1am we’ll be dancing the night away with DJ Ursa Minor inside with the lights down low!
Arm & Finger Wrestling: Need to show off how big and strong you are? Join in on the fun and test your strength. 😉 Winners get bragging rights and a good muscle pump.
