Growing up in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Danny McCaslin developed eclectic musical tastes from an early age. He grew up with a blend of classic country and early Motown records, and was soon seduced by MTV. Danny has been playing the guitar since he was a teenager. He sings and plays music from a wide variety of influences, from classic country to modern pop to hip-hop. He calls his music folk-punk because he thinks it is just pretentious enough to attract the art crowd and just stupid enough to attract people who like fart jokes.
