Class 7 - Veteran InHand 15yrs + - SQ – STARS Qualifier Class
Open to all horses and ponies 15yrs & over
EQUIFEST – stallion, mare or gelding, 15yrs and over, any type or breed.

Class 8A - Junior Handler – SQ – STARS Qualifier Class - Handlers to have attained their 12th birthday but not their 18th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. Horse or pony any height.

Class 8B - Young Handler - SQ – STARS Qualifier Class - Handlers to have attained their 8th birthday but not their 12th birthday before 1st January in current year. Horse or pony any height.

Class 8C - Tiny Tots Handler - SQ – STARS Qualifier Class - Handlers must have attained their 4th birthday but not their 8th birthday before 1st of January in the current year, pony not to exceed 128cms. Handlers MUST be accompanied by an adult in the ring, BUT the adult may not assist in handling of the pony unless the handler is in difficulty. Ponies must be suitable for the child.

Class 9 - Handsome Horse – walk in & line up

Class 10 - Bonny Pony – walk in & line up

Class 11 - Best Turned Out - SQ – STARS Qualifier Class
Open to any age rider, horse, or pony. LR ponies eligible for this class. This class will be judged as follows: 30% Cleanliness, condition, and correctness of tack, 30% Cleanliness and preparation of pony, 30% cleanliness neatness of rider (and handler if on LR). 10% overall impression.
** Class 13 is eligible for the ridden championships at the end of the day NOT the Mini Championship**

Class 12A Lead Rein Pony - SQ – STARS Qualifier Class
STARS points will be split between Plaited ponies & M&M ponies.
Rider not to have attained their 10th birthday before the 1st of January in the current year. Ponies not to exceed 128cms. Snaffle bridles only. Lead rein to be attached directly between nose band and the leader’s hand only.
Qualifier for EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND LEAD REIN Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies, registered with their respective Pure Breed Societies of Dartmoor, Exmoor, New Forest, Shetland and Welsh A or B. To be led by an attendant and shown in a Snaffle Bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.

Leading Rein Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over not exceeding 128cms. Riders not
to have attained their 8th birthday before 1st January in the current year. To be led by an
attendant and shown in a snaffle bridle. Lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.
EQUIFEST SHOW HUNTER PONY- LEAD REIN
Show Hunter Pony – Lead Rein, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding
122cms. Rider not to have attained their 9th Birthday before 1st January in the current year.

• Middleweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, capable of carrying 12.7 stone but not 14 stone.
• Heavyweight Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over capable of carrying over 14 stone.
EQUIFEST OPEN SMALL HUNTERS - Open Small Hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 158cms. Riders any age.

Class 19 - Ridden Veteran 15 years + - SQ – STARS Qualifier Class
Open to Horses & Ponies 15yrs and over. Any suitable Bridle

STARS points will be split between Plaited & Native, Cob / Traditional type.
Open to Plaited, Native, Cob and Traditional type, coloured horses, and ponies. Rider any age. Any suitable bridle. STARS Qualifier only for Piebald & Skewbald.
QUALIFIER FOR BSPA / EQUIFEST RIDDEN PIEBALD / SKEWBALD
Open ridden Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over. Riders any
age. The first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championship. Subject to their
show rules & conditions. Classes may be divided according to entries.

Class 21 - Ridden Cob - SQ – STARS Qualifier Class
Open to ALL ridden cobs including Traditional. Rider any age, any suitable bridle.
Qualifier for NUPAFEED / EQUIFEST RIDDEN COBS Open Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms. Riders any age. Classes may be divided as follows:
• Open Lightweight Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding
155cms.
• Open Heavyweight Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms.
EQUIFEST MAXI COBS - Open Maxi Cobs, mare or gelding 4 years old and over, exceeding 155cms – to be judged as Cobs. Riders any age.

Class 22 – Riding Club Horse / Pony (Horse rider any age, horse 148cm & over – Pony rider any age, pony under 148cm) - SQ – STARS Qualifier Class - STARS Points will be split between Horse & Pony
70% style, manners and way of going for show including a jump, 30% conformation

JUNIOR, SENIOR & MEMBERS RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
FOR ALL 1ST & 2ND PLACINGS

Show Rules

1. No dogs allowed off leads.
2. All animals should be cleaned up after.
3. All litter should be placed in the appropriate bin or take it home.
4. All riders must wear a hard hat when mounted. **Please note if any adult is wanting to wear a bowler or beagler when mounted you must contact Becky Howdle to sign a disclaimer form.
5. Handlers under the age of 16ys to wear a hard hat that is of correct safety standard, PAS015 (ENS1384 are no longer allowed), or higher,
6. Adult handlers to wear a suitable hat.
7. All stallions and colts of eligible age to be bitted and lead by a handler of 16yrs and over.
8. Spurs are permitted for Senior Riders only (aged 18yrs and over).
9. Excessive use of whips is forbidden and will result in disqualification. Whips must be of regulation length.
10. Age of handler/rider/horse/pony will be as of 1st January in the current year.
11. Please ensure you are ready for your class to ensure smooth running of the show with no unnecessary delays. Please Note – There will be NO Refunds if you miss your class, It is your responsibility to ensure you are ready and on time for your class.
12. The organisers and judges reserve the right to refuse an entry in the event of unsoundness.
13. The organisers reserve the right to amalgamate or substitute classes as deemed appropriate.
14. Prams/Pushchairs are discouraged near horses.
15. Any person wishing to make a complaint, must do so on the day of the event, within 30 minutes of the alleged complaint, accompanied by £50 administration fee, which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.
16. For STARS points riders and handlers must be current members of Danibeck Riding Club. However, at STARS you can represent more than one club.
17. STARS qualification will be taken from points accrued over the 6 Danibeck Riding Club shows.
18. For STARS qualification members must attend a minimum of 2 Danibeck Riding Club Shows.
19. STARS Qualification will be taken from points accrued over the season which give rise to Champion, Reserve or 2nd Reserve for each relevant section across the 6 shows. The first option of representing our club MUST be offered to our Champion of each section. Should they be unable to attend we can offer the place to the Reserve followed by the 2nd Reserve. Only these exhibitors/animals are eligible for STARS qualification.
20. Neither the organisers, Landowners, Committee or Agents of the show accept liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses/ponies, any person, owner, rider, handler, spectator or property whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.
21. ALL COMPETITORS will be deemed to have read and accepted these rules as a condition of entry.
22. We are a family run show and our aim is to ensure that all competitors have an enjoyable day. Please Note - The judges decision is FINAL. We will not tolerate ANY abuse to the judge, about the judge, other competitors, or the show organisers.
