This is such exciting news! The one and only Dani DaOrtiz is coming to House of Magic. If you know who Dani is and have seen some of his incredible work in the last few years, you know just how wonderful this news is. If you are not familiar with Dani, let me simply say that he is generally acknowledged by most magicians as the best card magician in the world today. His thinking is amazing, his performance style is iconic. He has written extensively on the theory and execution of card magic.
Dani is undoubtedly the most influential magician in the world today. His appearance on Penn and Teller Fool Us is the most watch clip from that show on the internet. And rightfully so. It was a tour de force of impossible magic and he destroyed Penn and Teller. And now, he is here in Philadelphia for one day only.
On Sunday, November 1st, he will be giving a lecture for magicians and one public performance. The lecture will be at 12:00 noon and will last approximately two to two and a half hours. In this lecture he will perform, teach and discuss some unbelievable card magic.
Please understand that Dani's work is not rooted in knuckle-busting sleight of hand. The hallmark of his work is subtlety and psychology combined with fairly simple sleights. This is magic that is extremely strong and very doable for most magicians with a rudimentary knowledge of card magic and just a few years of experience.
