DAYS OF ARCHITECTURE SARAJEVO 2025
Fresh&Bold
We are pleased to inform you that the 15th Days of Architecture Sarajevo will be held from 26 to 28 September 2025, which is also the third biennial edition of our festival since 2021. The big change compared to previous editions is the location of the event itself. In 2025, the main program and exhibition will be held at the Bosnian Cultural Center Sarajevo (BKC).
This prestigious event will bring together some of the most prominent architects and urban planners from the region and the world, giving them the opportunity to exchange experiences, present their works and advance their practice through interactive discussions. The guest speakers of this year’s DAYS OF ARCHITECTURE SARAJEVO 2025 are:
OMA, Reinier de Graaf (NL)
RENZO PIANO BUILDING WORKSHOP, Emanuela Baglietto (IT)
ATELIER BOW WOW, Momoyo Kaijima (JAP)
DEMOGO, Simone Gobbo (IT)
SO? Sevince Bayrak and Oral Goktas (TUR)
PARCNOUVEAU, Carolina Pelosato (IT)
VOLUME Magazine, Francesco Degl’Innocenti (NL)
SKROZ, Ivana Žalac (HR)
STUDIO 4 PLUS ARCHITECTS, Saša Čvoro (BIH)
The central part of the program is the Fresh&Bold Architecture Award (FBAA), an award and exhibition that recognizes projects that respond innovatively to contemporary architectural challenges, with a special focus on five categories: Free&Wise, Soft&Power, Digital & Gold, Local&Loud, Sharp&Slow.
The Fresh&Bold Architectural Award (FBAA) is the result of two decades of curating the Sarajevo Architecture Days — a festival that has become a meeting place for fresh conversations and bold ideas in architecture. The award recognizes projects that are bold in concept, precise in execution, and sensitive to the complexity of the context in which they arise. The FBAA focuses on a region defined more by the fluid overlap of cultures than by strict national borders — where the Dinaric Alps meet the Mediterranean, and the orderliness of Central Europe overlaps with the improvisational ingenuity of Southeast Europe. It is an imagined space of contradictions and hybridity, of layered histories, and of the ongoing shaping of the future. Although architecture is the foundation of the award, FBAA also recognizes architectural thinking wherever it appears — in public interventions, spatial installations, digital environments, publications or even lifestyle brands. Each cycle of the award is structured through a series of different categories, bringing together works that push boundaries and propose new ways of thinking about the space around us.
