About this Event
Watercolor Dandelion – Light, Movement & Delicate Detail
Sunday, May 3rd 1-4pm
$55 or $70 with all supplies, including an 11x14 mat for your finished painting
Capture the soft, airy beauty of a dandelion in this relaxing watercolor workshop focused on light, texture, and gentle movement. In this class, you’ll learn how to paint the delicate seed head and floating wisps using simple techniques that create a surprisingly realistic and luminous effect.
We’ll explore:
✨ Wet-on-wet techniques for soft, glowing backgrounds
✨ Fine brushwork for light, feathery details
✨ Creating contrast with subtle shadows and highlights
✨ Controlling water for crisp stems and airy seed textures
You’ll discover how negative space and careful layering can bring a sense of depth and softness to your painting. Whether you choose a classic white dandelion against a dreamy sky or experiment with bold, colorful backgrounds, this class encourages you to make it your own.
Perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike, this workshop is all about slowing down, playing with water and pigment, and capturing the quiet magic of something simple and beautiful.
