About this Event

Discover a world of fantasy adventure at the Dice Box with our exciting new D&D events, suitable for players new and old to the game.

Unravel stories, roll dice, create characters, and have a blast as we teach you how to play in the comfort of our cosy café with the help of an experienced Dungeon Master who has been introducing new players to the game for decades.

Please note, this event is for 15-year-olds and over.

Sign up now to join our next dungeons and dragons group. We are looking for players who can commit to weekly Tuesday sessions.

Regular cover charges will apply.

How does it work?
This event involves an ongoing story, called a "campaign", but each game is a stand alone piece. Think of it as a TV show series, like Game of Thrones, and you're popping in to watch one episode. This means you can choose which Thursday D&D event you want to attend! It's the perfect format for players who are simply looking to give D&D a try or players who may not be able to participate every week (although you would be very welcome to). Each Thursday session contains a whole story, from beginning to end, that will advance your character and further the overall campaign.
What do you need to play?
We provide everything you need, from books and dice to pencils and paper. The only thing you need to bring is an interest in playing Dungeons & Dragons. If you really want to, though, you are, of course, very welcome to bring your own D&D accessories.
This particular event uses pre-generated characters designed to fit the scenario and you will be playing one of the six available.
If you've ever wanted to give D&D a try or have simply been looking for somewhere new to play the game, you are most welcome to come and join in this event. We look forward to seeing you at the table and helping you get started in your grand D&D adventure!

Travel - Shalesmoor tramstop is just around the corner from our building, also Buses 57.,57a, 81, 82 and 86 stop right outside our buidling.

Parking - There are plenty of car parks in the surrounding area. Some are free of charge (the one directly behind the building is FREE), plus 4 or 5 small car parks around the area with paid parking up to 8:30pm. Single yellow lines can also be used after 6.30pm.
