Join the adventuring party for a Dungeons and Dragons one-shot adventure for 5th level characters. Create your character, grab some dice, and try to save the frontier town of Orlane of the evil that threatens to consume it.
“Rumors run wild of what evil has taken root in the unfortunate town of Orlane. Fields abandoned mid-harvest and farm houses nearly reclaimed by encroaching swampland warn of the once hardy trading post’s eerily sudden decline. Will you and your companions uncover what threatens to swallow up this young frontier town? Or will you too succumb to the hungry darkness?”
This horror-themed 5th Level one-shot adventure is inspired by Douglas Niles’ Dungeon Module N1 for Advanced D&D and will take about 3 and a half hours to complete. Some previous play experience is encouraged but all are invited to join the table!
Come prepared with a character of your own imagining with an uncommon magical item using any currently published 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons materials or use one of the pre-generated characters provided. You are encouraged to bring along writing supplies. The materials and pace of these sessions are intended for participants 14 years and older.
A ticket is required for each participant in your party. Seats are limited so make sure to snag your spot!
Seating begins at 5:30pm to grab food, drink and settle in before the game begins. Please arrive early if you are planning to choose a pre-generated character so you may familiarize yourself. Printed characters are not required, feel free to play your character on a tablet or app if that is easiest for you.

DM Alex Timmis (he/him) loves telling stories around the table with friends. He has been playing Dungeons and Dragons for eight years and rolling dice behind the DM screen for four of them. While an improv performer and instructor, Alex fell in love with role playing games and helped bring FIASCO! to life onstage at the Mopco Improv Theater in Schenectady. He is currently the Artistic Director of the Electric City Puppets. Role playing games, like improv, give us space to play and explore roles we don’t typically get to play in our day-to-day lives. Alex encourages a playful and respectful table where all players get a chance to add to the narrative and share the spotlight with one another.
