2026 Summer Dance Workshop
August 3–7, 2026
Dancing Wheels’ Summer Dance Workshop—a one-week program for dancers and movers ages 13 through adult—returns. Led by Dancing Wheels Director of Education Sara Lawrence-Sucato, participants of all abilities come together for physically integrated dance technique classes in ballet and modern, improvisation/composition classes, and non-traditional partnering. A new work will be developed and performed for the culminating in-studio performance on August 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST. Dancers can participate in-person or online.

$300 per participant
$275 if paid in full before July 1, 2026
$50.00 non-refundable deposit holds place in DW SDW if received by July 13, 2026

Scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded to aspiring dancers with physical disabilities who dream of equitable, integrated professional-level dance training. Eligible students must be willing to train in Ohio (students from anywhere are welcome), have a physical disability, and commit to rigorous dance training with a qualified instructor. Training options include College or university dance programs, Ohio-based residencies, community classes, or intensive training sessions.
