In collaboration with @fit4dancenyc studio, join us for a transformative experience led by Michelle of @SoulFire.Movement. This unique class blends high-energy dance, mindfulness, and meditation designed for you to experience a truly LIT & holistic experience.

✨ What to Expect:
- Dance: With a diverse musical playlist of Hip Hop, R&B, Soca, Afrobeat, and more, Michelle's infectious energy and dynamic choreography will have your waistline moving and footwork grooving.
- Sweat: Get your blood pumping and your body glowing with a fun, full-body workout that combines cardio, and strength training.
- Meditate: -Zen Out: Find your center and calm your mind with a short guided meditation, that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

- Any meditative tool such as photo, crystals, essential oils, or tea. (Not required)

is an emotional wellness practice through dance movement. A full-body workout through the power of dance and guided mindful meditations, using colors that incorporate authentic mindset techniques to help you unlock your full potential.
In class, we bring awareness to our thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations through the power of movement. Class is designed to provide a xperience a fun diverse musical playlist that includes genres like Hip-Hop, R&B, Soca, Afrobeat, Pop, Salsa, and conscious high vibrational tunes. Get ready to experience dance moves from around the world and engage in a full-body workout that will leave you feeling strong and joyful.
Class Structure: We begin with a high-energy movement segment that will get your heart pumping and your body moving. After 45min, we transition into a yoga-inspired stretch session, followed by a mini meditation to help you find inner peace and relaxation. So let’s turn up & zen out!
Michelle Turner-Young is a Dorchester resident, and a community pioneer with 18+ years of dance & fitness experience. After becoming a mom of twins at 16 years-old, Life as she knew it, had other plans. This became a major deterrent in her dreams of leaving home and experiencing college life. However, amid life's challenges, dance became her anchor and saving grace. Making history as the first American International Dancehall Queen, she began a passion-driven commitment to making a positive impact in the city of Boston through dance. With a focus on emotional well-being through movement, and as the founder of SoulFire Movement, Michelle aims to uplift, motivate, and energize groups, individuals, and organizations interested in using dance to connect with themselves and others.
is dedicated to bringing quality and affordable dance and fitness instruction to communities that need it the most. We offer a comfortable space where people can have fun, learn to dance, improve their fitness and health, meet new people, explore other cultures, and freely express themselves. Laci established Fit4Dance to inspire and motivate women to take control of their health and have a blast doing it!
Laci decided to open Fit4Dance in Brooklyn for three reasons: to encourage African-American women and children to take charge of their health through exercise (hundreds of black women die everyday from preventable diseases; this number can be significantly reduced with at least 30 minutes of movement a day); to unify diverse groups of people through the common love of dance (neighborhoods are changing; culture is important to understand and respect); and lastly to organize charitable giving and volunteer opportunities within the community (ie school supply drives, toy drives, sanitary products drive for incarcerated women, sock drives for homeless men, toiletry drives for homeless women, coat drives, etc.)
Fit4Dance will continue to have a measurable impact on women and children in Brooklyn and beyond. We will help women meet their fitness goals while also helping them relieve stress and gain a more positive outlook on life. By offering dance fitness classes in a caring, supportive atmosphere, the community will begin to look at fitness as a pleasant and consistent part of their lifestyle. By working together as a family through giving, donating, and other charitable projects, we will also increase our collective impact in communities that need our support the most.
