Dances of Universal Peace SE London

The Dances of Universal Peace are a meditative and spiritual practice in movement using mantras and chants from many world and earth spiritual traditions. The dances blend chant, live music and evocative movement into a living experience of Unity, Peace and Integration.

These contemplative and joyful dances open us to the remembrance of the natural human state of oneness and respond to our yearning for unity, compassion and community through embodied spirituality. Offered in an atmosphere of authenticity and conscious presence, the dances evoke a unified experience of movement, sound, breath and song.

We dance in circles where mantras or sentences, the melody and movements for each dance are taught at the start as well as some context about that particular dance. Most dances have short lyrics repeated many times, so learning is usually quick and easy.
