The Dances of Universal Peace are spiritual practices in motion. The Dances draw upon sacred phrases, scripture and poetry of the world’s spiritual traditions, as well as the common language of the heart. The Dances of Universal Peace blend chant, live music, and evocative movement into a living experience of unity, peace and integration. This opens us to the possibility of a deep spiritual transformation. A greater understanding and appreciation of other cultures, as well as one’s personal path, is often gained through the experience. All words, music and steps are taught in an atmosphere of safety, authenticity, mindfulness. Nomusical or dance experience is required. Participation, not presentation, is the focus. No special attire is required.
We will be guided in the Dances of Universal Peace by Donna Schiller, Certified Leader. Donna has led Dances in several locations in the Chicago area. In addition, other Dance Leaders will be invited to share their experiences and love of the Dances of Universal Peace.
Saturday, September 20th, 1:00pm-2:30pm
Cost: Free, but love offerings will be gratefully received
